Rusty is a 4 year old Chow Chow mix.  He is a medium sized dog and looks larger in his pictures than in person.  He has the cutest little square head and long flowing fur like a golden retriever.  

Right now Rusty is owned by a 91 year old man.  He loves Rusty very much but he is just too much for him to handle.  Rusty is great with his older grandkids but we think he would do better without any small children.  We would like to find someone who is experienced with dogs to adopt Rusty, especially experience with Chows.  He is super sweet and was great with us when we went to visit him.  He just wanted to be petted and have his belly rubbed.  Rusty is toy and food aggressive so it would be best for him to be the only dog.  Of course if someone would be able to bring in a trainer that would help immensely.  

Rusty's first owner had him for a year and then decided he didn't have time for him so his new owner took him in.  He will be updated on all of his shots, checked for heart worm and lyme and neutered.  If you can't adopt please consider fostering this sweet guy.
