Meet beautiful, calm, and sweet Juliette!  She's a 10 year old mama that is now spayed and has a whole new lease on life!  She's about 60 pounds right now so she's right in between the medium and large range, and mostly black with a cute tuxedo white and black spotted patch down her chest. 

She's been living out in rural North Carolina for the past 3 years while we've been trying to catch her and her various litters of puppies.  She had a laceration on her paw and we were finally able to bring her in and get her the medical attention and loving foster family she's long deserved!  We don't know anything about her story before she lived out in the wild, but she has impeccable house manners so we think she must have lived in a home before being abandoned and left to fend for herself.

She's both house and crate trained.  She's still learning the actual command "crate", but she's picking up quickly and will voluntarily walk in (with a treat leading the way of course), and then sit in there happily.  Most of all Juliette just wants to be around her people.  She's a lap dog at heart, and will sit quietly with you whether you're working from a home office or lounging on the couch watching tv.  She loves to be pet and rubbed and near you.  In fact she's so attached to people that to show her true heart and happiness we had to have a person next to her in most of her photos!  

If you're looking for a calm, quiet best friend then look no further!  However, if you're interested in a guard dog she is NOT your girl. She has little to no reaction to the doorbell or outdoor noises.  She's timid by nature but has no problem opening up quickly.  She's curious about cats but not aggressive.  Our cat was unsure and scared of her at first but is now used to her, so we like to say she's cat friendly on a cat-by-cat basis as long as they're introduced slowly.  Juliette gets along well with other dogs, but is mostly interested in being with her person.
