Jaxon is a 1 1/2 year old Beagle/Jack Russell mix. He currently weighs 43 pounds and won't get much larger.
Jaxon has lived with his owner but her work schedule is so busy that she is never home and doesn't feel that is fair for him. Jaxon is in a foster home and is doing fantastic. He gets along great with the other dogs large and small. At first he was chasing the cats but his foster mom kept telling him no and believe it or not he listened. Jaxon is a shy and timid dog at first, especially if he thinks he is in trouble for something.
He really enjoys being loved and and told that he is a good dog. He barks when someone approaches the house so his foster mom is working on letting him know it is ok to have visitors. Once she tells him it's ok he will calm down and welcome them. He is doing great with house training and he voluntarily goes into his crate when he wants time to relax.
One very important piece of information on Jaxon is that he is allergic to chicken, his new owner will have to keep that out of his diet.
Jaxon does require a fenced yard for potty and playtime. Other dogs are a plus and he loves kids too. If you would like to make Jaxon a part of your family please fill out an application from our website.
