COURTESY LISTING: PLEASE CONTACT ONE OF THE PEOPLE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PROFILE.
This is Duke. He looks to be a ShepHard / Great Dane mix. I found him running down a main road. When I stopped he jumped right in the truck. He is very friendly. I brought him to the vet. He doesn’t have a chip and they said he is around 5 – 6 months old. They also said he is healthy and clean. No fleas or ear mites. He had a few ticks, probably from running through the woods. But we took care of them and gave him Harts Ultra Guard to take care of anything we missed. He will be neutered on Wednesday, 7/13, when he will also receive a rabies shot and additional vaccines. Because Duke is still a puppy, he has a lot of energy. He will need someone who can handle that energy. He loves to play tug-of-war. He also likes to take himself for a walk, he grabs the leash as we walk. He will need a lot of chew toys. But he is very good at listening. If you tell him no, he learns very quickly. He’s very smart. Duke doesn’t realize how big he is. He wants to be a lap dog. He loves to give kisses. He just wants to be petted and hugged. He’s pretty good with other dogs. All he ever wants to do is play. Duke needs a home with a lot of love and a place to run with a fenced in yard. He can be an indoor/outdoor dog, but mostly indoor as that’s where he has spent most of his time. He’s had a few accidents, but otherwise house trained. Not sure how Duke is with cats. He’s never met one. He loves kids, but his size and energy may be too much for little ones. Duke would make a great addition to any good family.
